The mission of the Emory University Inter-Religious Council is to foster
inter-religious conversation and create a safe space for affirming one's
own tradition while understanding the religious practices and beliefs of
others. We seek to build bridges through service, education and
dialogue to promote a mindset for living peacefully in the global
The Inter-Religious Council is composed of representatives from thirty religious groups on campus. A select number of students interested in inter-religious dialogue from several traditions that are not represented by a religious organization are included. The IRC meets weekly to build relationships, explore a range of inter-religious topics, engage in educational events and plan campus-wide programs which promote dialogue, service, and peace-building.
